Murphy was a vital member of the band and jazz band at LeDuc Composite High School. She plays 9 instruments guitar, piano, bass guitar, banjo, ukulele, mandolin, clarinet, euphonium and tuba.
After high school, she won multiple music scholarships and attended Grant MacEwan University for her Bachelor of Arts Music in Contemporary Pop and Jazz.
