She performed at many recitals and each year, won gold medals in her communities Rotary Festivals. She also regularly performed in front of her friends, school, family, and church congregation. She became music leader at her church because, of her extensive experience in directing and leading bands comprised with member twice her age. When she was 13 she made it to the regional finals of The Next Star and also made it to the finals of the K-Days Talent Search as a high schooler.
Murphy was a vital member of the band and jazz band at LeDuc Composite High School. She plays 9 instruments guitar, piano, bass guitar, banjo, ukulele, mandolin, clarinet, euphonium and tuba.
After high school, she won multiple music scholarships and attended Grant MacEwan University for her Bachelor of Arts Music in Contemporary Pop and Jazz.
Her association with STARS began in the spring of 2019. This is a very unique association as Murphy records her vocals “LIVE” on the microphone in Edmonton but, the vocals are recorded in the studios in Columbus and then mixed. She has traveled to Columbus Ohio twice to record music and film music videos for her project. One of her songs “ Deadbeat Daughter” has already won the Best Pop Song Award in the World Songwriting Awards.

Murphy is inspired by artists like Paramore, Halsey, Billie Eillsh, Twenty One Pilots, Bring Me The Horizon and has a love for EDM music.

For the past 4 years S.T.A.R.S. has had locations in Cincinnati, Columbus and more recently in the LeBron James Boys and Girls Club in Akron.
The program also has participants in South Africa, Ghana, Brazil, England, and Australia.
